POC earns a prestigious Design S award for the AVIP concept
POC, a leading manufacturer of skiing and cycling helmets, apparel and accessories, has been awarded a Design S award for the AVIP concept. AVIP stands for Attention, Visibility, Interaction and Protection and is POC’s most ambitious initiative to date, promoting safety for road cyclists. Design S is Sweden’s national design award and singles out creative and innovative solutions in every imaginable area of products, services and environments, regardless of the design field.

La casa svedese POC svelerà in occasione della Vuelta, il nuovo modello di casco Octal AVIP MIPS e il brevetto Eye Park, sviluppato in collaborazione con il Team Garmin-Sharp, che lo accompagna. L'acronimo MIPS sta per Multi-directional Impact Protection System ed è una tecnologia sviluppata da neurochirurghi e scienziati per contribuire a ridurre le forze di rotazione che sollecitano la nostra testa in caso di urto laterale.
